La Flor Bakery and Cafe

Well, as you all know, I've taken a really strong interest in desserts lately. Today was no different. After that Japanese meal, I wanted to end the night with a nice cup of coffee and some sort of sweet dessert.

So off we went...

The place is pretty intimate. I liked the ambiance. It was a good place for a nice cup of coffee and dessert.

Friend's hot chocolate. It looks good...

My coffee...not as good looking. Oh, my one complaint was that the coffee wasn't hot enough. After I added the milk, it was just warm. I like my coffee on the hot side.

Being the pigs that we are, we ordered three dessert items...

I believe this was the upside down apple cake? It wasn't bad. Not my favorite thing but good enough. I liked the top part, which I'm guessing was where the apple was.

The thing on the side (the last pic) is a mixture of fruit. Not bad either. Although, I just ate it just for the sake of eating. 

Man, I forgot what this dessert was called. It was some sort of chocolate cake with ice cream on top. Raspberry ice cream? Not sure. I wasn't a fan of the ice cream (vanilla would have been nice!) but the cake was good. I like warm cake.

This was the other slice of chocolate cake. I think I liked this the least, probably because it was on the cold side. I'm not sure if it's meant to be served cool or they just served it cool because it is kept in the fridge. Anyway, I like my cake either room temperature or warm.

The bill came out to be a little bit under $25 and change before tip.

So, overall, this satisfied my sweets craving...it satisfied it a little too much!

Oh, and I know it was kinda pigish of me but I was kinda eyeing other people's dinner dishes! It looked really good. I wanna go back here and eat dinner.
