Evergreen Park Restaurant

Mom's bday was around the corner so the whole family (minus 2 people) came here for dinner. We got there around 5ish, which was great. The place was empty. A bit too early for dinner I guess. It was also a Sunday which also attributed to the emptiness I suppose.

Brand new restaurant I think.

I have a sis who eats "healthy" so we got this soup. That's right, there is nothing in that soup. I guess the point of it was to warm up your tummy for the real food. Having said that, it wasn't all that bad tasting. I liked it but didn't ask for seconds.

So either a half of duck or a whole duck was ordered. Either way, I didn't get a picture of the plate. Not sure if I was busy or if people ate it so fast that I didn't have the opportunity to take it. The meat was eh. Didn't taste fresh.

Jelly fish plate. Family always seems to get this at any Chinese restaurant. Pretty popular appetizer I guess. I personally don't care for it. I usually don't eat it either but that day I felt a bit adventurous and I ate some jelly fish. It actually wasn't all that bad.Tasted like I was biting cartilage or something.

A pound of steamed shrimp. I didn't eat a single one. First, it just didn't seem worthy of my tummy space. Second, I'm not a fan of shrimps that still have it's head on.

Stir fried scallops. I liked this.

I was really happy when I heard my sister ordered this. I totally forgot about it but I've been wanted to eat this for the longest time. This was pretty decent also.

Hmm...is that chicken or squid? lol, I don't remember. I don't think I liked it though.

Fried squid! This was yummy. I've been craving calamari and this was the a great substitute.

Yeah, I didn't touch any of this either. Not worthy either. Just wasn't in the mood for fried tofu.

Not sure what this is. Maybe some sort of intestine? I didn't eat this either.

Fried rice with salty fish. Not bad. It did it's job.

Eggplant with garlic sauce. This wasn't that bad either. I bought some for lunch the next day.

Oysters...I heard it was good..

Veggies...did it's job too.

Another veggie dish. This was alright. I usually love this vegetable but they didn't cook this right.

Beef chow fun. This was eh too. Could have had a bit more flavor.

Crispy chicken. As always, the skin was good ;)

This was our complimentary dessert. I coconut jelly was pretty good. The other one was kinda bad imo. Had a weird taste to it.

So overall, it was an alright restaurant for me. Family said it was crappy though. I wouldn't mind going back if they wanted to but I wouldn't suggest it to anyone.
